Out here in small-town Idaho, where the sky is smoky and it still hits the 90's, those 3am temp drop reprieves allow you to finally open the windows for a couple of hours.
I love fall.
I love Tshirts and jeans or sweatshirts and shorts. And boots. You're not a real Idaho girl without a fav pair of boots... or three. A little too early in the season for hot tea in the evening before bed, but soon.
The beginning of this September was a little bittersweet. I helped my 'baby' get settled at her out-of-state college. Instead of soccer games and endless school-related meetings, I get to fill my days playing with grandbabies while also preparing for numerous author events. I have two new books to add to my other titles. One is a chldren's picture book and another is a revamp of one of my middle grades. More in the works.
Friday and Saturday September 11 &12 kicks off the fall season of book events for me. My favorite local coffee shop, Agape Coffeehouse, is having their last Artisan Market of the year and I will be there with a table full of books. Check the 'Upcoming Events' sections for details.
So while I'm missing my kid daily, I'm also filling the calendar with fun events. Because no matter the season, it's always a good time to read a book.
